electrochemical synthesis of organic compounds with special attention to hypervalent iodine compounds (iodosylarenes, jodylarenes, diaryliodonium salts); investigation of mechanism and kinetics of electrochemical reactions; water electrolysis and fuel cells; understanding relation between surface composition and electrochemical behaviour of surfaces; photoelectron spectroscopy
