Our working group deals with the study of solid - liquid or solid - gas reactions respectively. These reactions often play key role in field of industrial chemistry, energetics, metallurgy and/or ecology. We are focused on applied research, which especially involves the kinetics study of reactions important in the production of mineral fertilizers and processes for environmental protection.
OUR MAIN TOPICS?
- Dissolution of raw materials by mineral acids (phosphates, magnesite, limestone, dolomite)
- Dissolutions are initial reactions for mineral fertilizers production, the main target is to convert insoluble compounds to their soluble forms, which is essential for plant intake of nutrients.
- Treatment of industrial waste water
- Treatment of waste acids
- Reprocessing of secondary industrial biaproducts (gypsums)
- Determination of solids textural characteristics by mercury porosimetry
- Using porosimeter Autopore IV we are able to measure pore distribution in range from 100 μm to 1,5 nm. The knowledge of pore distribution is important for research of catalysts, membranes, sorbents, raw materials or cermaic materials
