MESD Students Visited MEGA and Spolchemie as Part of Their Study Programme

In the summer semester of the 2025/26 academic year, our department welcomed 14 international students of the Master’s study programme Membrane Engineering for Sustainable Development (MESD). As part of their study plan, the students took part in two professional excursions focused on membrane technologies and their industrial applications.

The first visit took place at MEGA a.s. in Stráž pod Ralskem, where the students learned about membrane production and gained insight into the technological background of membrane-based processes. The second excursion led them to Spolchemie, a.s. in Ústí nad Labem, where they had the opportunity to see membrane electrolysis as a concrete example of membrane technology used in industrial chemical production.

These excursions provided the students with valuable practical context and helped connect their theoretical knowledge with real industrial processes. We would like to thank both companies for their warm welcome, time, and carefully prepared professional programme.
